We cut a recessed area into the door to achieve the shaker look. By doing this, it creates a clean look void of creases and seams. The single solid slab is coated with three layers of lacquer then polished with a scratch resistant coating. The White Shakers smooth matte white texture is so clean, consistent, and void of any wood grain that at first glance some people believe them to be particle board or MDF. That notion disappears just as soon as they touch or hold the gleaming white doors and feel the unmistakable quality of the solid wood.
